Once you are approved for employment with KWLA, Inc., the following steps must be completed before your first start date
- Present current driver license, social security and/or passport for E-verification for employment file
- Background Check completed with Alabama Department of Human Resource, https://fieldprintalabama.com Click Schedule an appointment; Create an account, agree with consent; Choose “Don’t have a Fieldprint code?; Select AL Dept of Human Resource-DHR Licensed Child Care Providers; Complete all components under Data Collection and Authorization-chose AL DHR Release; Schedule an Appointment, enter your home zip code for the nearest fingerprinting location. In Phenix City, Alabama: LaTonya King Agency/Farmer Insurance 507 Dillingham Street, Suite C Phenix City, AL 36867 (Next to Bike Shop by bridge) Monday 12noon-6:00pm; Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm
- Future employees must hold a current CPR/First Aid Certificate. If you need a CPR/First Aid certification, visit here: CPR Classes | CPR, First-Aid, BBP, and Healthcare Provider BLS Classes (nationalcprfoundation.com) Cost is $12.99 for wallet and certificate after you take a simple test online. Please print or save your CPR/ First Aid certificate, email or turn in a copy to KWLA Admin personnel.
- Visit Quorumlearning.com, click on Add New Members Here under State-Sponsored Quorum Memberships; select language (English or Spanish); Where are you located? Select Alabama, complete the form; enter Knowledge Works Learning Academy, Inc 903 South Railroad Street Phenix City, Alabama 36867 and your information. Look for introduction email in your email, spam or junk inbox within 7-10 days. Begin completing Alabama Introductory Courses (3 Modules) and
Health, Safety and Universal Precautions Courses(10 Modules). Courses must be completed within the first 30 days after hire. If you have taken the following courses, please provide KWLA, Inc administrators with a copy of your certificates. - Complete physical exam ($25) and TB Test ($20) at Stat Medical Services 2 Bradley Court Columbus, Ga 31904 Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM. Photo ID required. All physical and TB Test must be completed on the AL DHR CDC-737 form.
