Providing Educational Services for Russell County, Smiths Station & Phenix City Alabama

Knowledge Works Learning Academy/Kai Wa’Diya Learning Academy, Inc.

Knowledge Works Learning Academy, Inc. (KWLA) began in the heart of our Founder Kai Gary first, as a child and grew as she gained experience through academia and servant leadership as an Educator.

Kai has earned degrees in Collaborative Teaching 6-12th grade/B.S.; a Masters in Collaborative Teaching 6 -12th grades, and a Ed. S Specialist degree in Educational Leadership.

In the tradition of one of the most significant kings of Israel, we find that knowledge works!

God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions, and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”

Through KWLA, our territory has enlarged and we have grown into an private school that is a non-profit entity that provides educational services through a before and after school program for students in Kindergarten – 12th grades using character education as a basis for subject instruction and emphasizing S.T.R.E.A.A.M. – an acronym for Science, Technology, Right Living, Engineering, Arts, Agriculture, and Technology – Flowing in The S.T.R.E.A.A.M.

Students may be registered at our site year round. Our hours of operation are: Monday – Friday from 5am – 12 midnight to enrolled students. Call 334-704-3150 for fees.

KWLA has a board of 5 members made up of Phenix City citizens ranging in backgrounds from a medical doctor, a local businessman, a college student, two graduate students and a certified teacher . We received our nonprofit determination letter from the IRS confirmed on November 1, 2016.

Over the last year, we have moved forward in the development of a curriculum, integrated with other nonprofit organizations, and collaborated in community activities to establish a relational value to our existence.
